Elegant Shabby Chic

Allo mes jolis amis and welcome back!

Today I want to tell you a little bit about my favourite interior design style.

As you may see from the title, I’m obsessed with one variation of Shabby Chic which is Elegant Shabby Chic.

But first, if you are not familiar with the traditional Shabby Chic style, I’ll walk you through it :) .
The main characteristic of this style is that soft, rustic and feminine look.  This way of decorating was first initiated in the 1980’s in the United Kingdom, when they mainly used furniture from the 1800’s(most of which was curvy, French style furniture) and turned it into the white, elegant and vintage output. The idea of the furnishings is that worn-out, antique look which is artistic and beautiful to the eye. Since it is quite feminine style, it's natural that its characteristic decors are flower pillows, beautiful vintage chandeliers, chenille bedspreads, vintage fabrics and a lot of flower vases.

The thing I love the most is a variation on the theme, which is Elegant Shabby chic. It is clean, beautiful and lavish. The crystal chandeliers give magnificent and magical note to it, and you can use decorations such as birdcages, vintage clocks, mirrors with white Victorian frames, candles, cookie stands and teacups as jewellery containers. Basically it gives you a lot of space to use your imagination.
Since I really like pastel colours and vintage things for decoration, I completely fell in love with this interior design. It is soft, rich, romantic and a little bit weird.

That's it for now mes amis.
Let me know If you liked this post and what is your favourite interior design.

Be safe, strong and happy.

Pamper Evening Routine

Allo mes jolis amis and welcome back!

So, after my exam, which was yesterday, I really wanted to do something for myself so I thought: what’s the best way to unwind and enjoy a nice winter evening? Pamper session!
I immediately rushed into the bathroom to prepare bits and bobs which will make my evening perfect. It’s all about the little things, don’t you think :) ?

The first thing I did was take my makeup off with makeup removal wipes and wash my face with water. After I washed my hair, put on a hair conditioner, and wrapped it in the towel, I then scrubbed my body with Soap and Glory-Sugar Crush Body Scrub, which exfoliated and left my skin so smooth and soft.

Now magic can begin. I lit the candles and turned on relaxing music.

I‘ve recently found this channel on YouTube called YellowBrickCinema, which uploads daily music videos for relaxation, meditation or for sleeping ,that last for an hour, and sometimes six or eight depends on what you are looking for.

So after the bath had started running, I popped in a Lush bath bomb ‘’Twilight’’ which is creamy, relaxing, and it has a scent of lavender, which I adore.
I swear I could be in that bath for hours reading, writing or simply chilling with my glass of vine. But after approximately one hour, it was time to continue with my pamper evening.

The next thing I did was put on a face mask. The one I'm using is Garnier pure 3 in 1 which helps my skin look healthier and gives it a matte finish. After a face mask, I love to apply a natural face night cream with Aloe Vera, followed by Dahlia Divin Body Cream for the rest of my body.

To finish off this beautiful pamper evening I decided to jump into my pajamas and watch Harry Potter while I paint my nails and drink hot tea. I wanted to get into that magical mood :)).

That’s it for now. I hope this blog post inspired you to do a little something for yourself as well.

Be safe, strong and happy.

Yours truly,

Inspired by: Harry Potter chic

Allo mes jolis amis and welcome back!

Today, I am creating a new chapter on my blog called ''Inspired by'' in which I will be creating outfits inspired by the books, movies and games. It is basically the mixture of their world and ours, and how I perceive it: the combination of elegance and something weird and extraordinary.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gswtbX8G7Q

So the first outfit was inspired by, of course, my darling Harry Potter books. I wanted to create the combination of darkness and elegance from the 7th book, since it has an additional story about Deathly Hallows (three brothers and death).

I hope this outfit inspires you as the books inspired me.

Be safe, strong and happy.

Yours truly,
